Empowering students and families to rejoice in becoming a B’nai Mitzvah.

Supporting Jewish Learning for Every Child.

Rebecca Tenenbein’s mission is to foster Judaism and personalize education so that every Jewish child can become a Bar/Bat/B’nai Mitzvah. She is the associate director of the learning center at a private Jewish day school and has a Master’s degree from Columbia University Teachers College in teaching children with specific learning disabilities. Rebecca privately tutors and engages with students and families to create meaningful milestone ceremonies.

“We love her and can’t recommend Rebecca highly enough!”

“Rebecca is warm, gracious, and passionate about transmitting her love of Judaism and Jewish texts and liturgy to the next generation. My daughter felt confident and empowered with Rebecca by her side, and we knew we could relax on our big day thanks to her expertly running the show. We love her and can’t recommend her highly enough.”

Jewish Tradition from Generation to Generation

“We were so proud of our granddaughter who worked hard to prepare for this special day.”

Support for Learning Your Way

Jewish education has many variations. Rebecca works with you to determine the best path for your child with consideration and respect for any learning style. Her individualized approach extends far beyond a typical school environment. This ensures students have the necessary support to learn.

Judaism Should Be a Personal Experience

Judaism teaches us that we all belong and it is Rebecca’s goal to give every Jewish child the important experience of a Bar/Bat/B’nai Mitzvah. Through private lessons, her goal is to teach each child to be confident and enjoy the journey toward their bat/bar mitzvah, whether that be at their synagogue or in a service officiated by Rebecca.

“Rebecca, Thank you for making tonight incredibly special, meaningful and moving.  You taught Eden the most beautiful Shabbat service that she will hold with her for a lifetime.  You were such a pleasure to work with. Thank you!”

Rebecca Provides Inclusive Services

“Rebecca helped us every step of the way. She left no stone unturned! From a guitarist, to a customized Siddur/Program and Torah rental, she made it all happen! To anyone who is worried that an independent service won’t feel “real",” it does and it is, thanks to Rebecca. She is open-minded and we valued her experience and input on how to meet the needs of our family. My daughter loved the experience and it was a perfect fit.”
